Music Ministries
Our church is blessed with gifted musical leadership, talented musicians, and a congregation that loves to sing. Our services often feature guest musicians and selections by our choir.
Choir
Weekly Rehearsals: September - May
Open to any member or friend of the congregation. Singing enthusiasm is the only requirement. We also make space for Seasonal Singers for Christmas, Lenten and Easter services.
Adult Ministries
Our adults have many opportunities to continue learning. We recognize that Christian education is a lifelong process and does not end at Confirmation.
Bible Study

Knowing that we all learn in different ways, a variety of learning styles are incorporated into our study. We generally are guided by special content during Advent and Lent. During Lent we gather at 5:30pm for a potluck supper and fellowship before our study.

Children and Youth
Confirmation classes for youth are offered in the fall of every other year. This year-long educational program includes study, activities and field trips. The program is designed to fully prepare youth for membership in the Church.
We invite our youth to be regular participants in worship, even leading a special service in October and planning our annual Christmas pageant. West Park UCC regularly sponsors youth to attend various summer camps and mission trips and offers scholarships for children and youth who are active in the life of the church. Active young adults pursuing a college education are also eligible to apply for the Alber Scholarship each year.
Any child or youth who is active in the life of our church and who plans to attend summer camp at Templed Hills is eligible for a scholarship. West Park UCC will cover up to 50% of the cost of camp.
Children and Youth
Our children and youth are offered regular Sunday School class. Our AGAPE class is for kindergarten through fifth grade and our ACTS29 class is for sixth through twelfth grades.
We encourage our children and youth to think critically and to fully engage with our church. During the summer months, we invite our children and youth to stay in the sanctuary to worship in community; we have a “prayground” in the front of the church for younger children to color and play. Giggles, wiggles, movement and sound are encouraged and are a welcome addition to the life of our church.
There are lots of opportunities to continue learning at West Park UCC. We also have many seasonal activities during the year. And of course, we welcome all ideas for adding new programmatic activities to our current schedule.
