West Park United Church of Christ Partnership with Zion United Church of Christ

West Park United Church of Christ has formed a partnership with Zion United Church of Christ in the Tremont section of Cleveland, Ohio on West 14th Street.  This is a historic and very active church which serves many of the most needy in their community.

A large part of their ministry is serving the homeless, serving dinners on Saturday night and Tuesday/Thursday drop ins for lunch, chat time, games and providing clothing.

Our own West Park UCC Youth have volunteered often and all want to take turns serving meals along with many of our adult parishioners.  We have a core group of volunteers who serve every Saturday.

Our church's commitment is for the third Saturday of every month.  The time is from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. The work involved is preparation, serving and cleanup after the meal.

It is a rewarding and humbling experience to see how others live and appreciate our help.
